All event times are Colorado local time. We have created calendar files for the events listed below. Outlook users will probably want this .csv file to import, while users of Google Calendar, Sunbird, Lightning, iCal and other standards-based apps will want this .ics file. Right-click and choose “Save as…” (or if you use a Mac, do whatever complex maneuver you have to do in the absence of a second mouse button).

Saturday, August 30

  • Picnic and hiking at the Betz cabin: A chance for family and friends to meet up in a casual gathering, so stop by anytime between 9am and 3pm. A light continental breakfast and a buffet lunch will be provided. Bring your hiking gear—there are ample opportunities for short and long, easy and hard walks. The cabin is located on Summit Guest Ranch just outside of Silverthorne, a 30 to 40 minute drive from Breckenridge. You’ll find directions and maps on our “transportation” page.

  • After-dinner socializing at the Breckenridge Brewery, for those still standing. Emmy & Michael will arrive around 9pm for drinks, but the Brewery also has great food to pair with its microbrews for those looking for dinner. The brewery is located in central Breckenridge just around the corner from the Village Hotel (600 South Main Street; phone: 970-453-1550).

Sunday, August 31

  • The Wedding Ceremony and Reception: the ceremony and reception at Ten Mile Station in Breckenridge. The ceremony will start at 4:30pm and the celebration will continue until 11pm. Ten Mile Station is located on Peak 9, one of the Breckenridge ski slopes, at 10,200 feet. Shuttle buses will be available but there is also free parking. The wedding will be outside on a patio but the dinner and dancing indoors, and no hiking boots are required.

Monday, September 1

  • Farewell Brunch:The celebration continues with brunch the next morning, so please stop by on your way out of town. Robert and Sharon Swartz (Emmy’s uncle and aunt) welcome you to their home at 164 Lariat Loop, Silverthorne, from 9am to noon. Directions are on our “transportation” page.
