Transportation

Denver International Airport is the main Colorado hub and is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours by car from Breckenridge. There are numerous car rental options at DIA.

Colorado Mountain Express (800-525-6363) offers shuttle service from DIA to Breckenridge. Within Breckenridge there will be a shuttle to the ceremony and reception, and we will do our best to arrange rides to the Betz cabin for those without cars.

Directions and Maps

Getting from Denver/DIA to Breckenridge

From DIA, take Peña Blvd. north to I-70W. Follow I-70 west for 82 miles to exit 203 for CO-9 S (Frisco/Breckenridge). Follow CO-9 south for about 10 miles into Breckenridge. Main Street can get congested with pedestrians, so you may want to follow Park Ave. when CO-9 splits just before going into town.

From Breckenridge, head north on CO-9 for about 10 miles through the town of Frisco. Follow I-70 east to exit 205 and continue on CO-9 north. Drive about 7.5 miles: through the town of Silverthorne, past the factory outlet shops and along the Blue River. Take a left onto Pebble Creek Road, a dirt road directly opposite the Blue River Campground. Drive up the hill and stay straight on the road until you reach a lodge with a gate and “no trespassing sign”. Continue through the gate, past the pond on your left and up a small hill. At the top of the hill (by the old, small cabins), bear left and continue along the dirt road past a house with a blue roof on the left. Continue straight, past the barn and additional cabins. The Betz cabin is the last one on the right before the road veers left.

Follow the dirt road back to CO-9 and turn right. At Silverthorne, take I-70 west to exit 203 (Frisco/Breckenridge). At the round-about cross over the highway and take CO-9 south about 10 miles to Breckenridge. Again, when CO-9 splits going into town you may want to bear right to Park Avenue.

Wedding

Google won’t let us fix the map – zoom out a couple of times to see the route.

The wedding and reception will take place at Ten Mile Station, a ski lodge halfway up Peak 9. We will have shuttles running from town to the site, but there is also free parking for those who want to drive. For those driving: take Park Avenue (Highway 9) south to Village Road and turn right. When you see Great Divide Lodge on your right, take the next left into the Beaver Run Resort parking area. This is just before Beaver Run Resort and the pedestrian overpass above the street. Continue to the opposite end of the parking lot to the dirt road and turn right. Take the dirt road up the mountain. There are signs for Ten Mile Station—it’s at the end of the road (about 10 minutes from town). The road is a dirt road but most cars should be fine on it.

The shuttles will pick up guests from the Village Hotel (main round-about) and the Beaver Run parking lot at the following times: 3:25pm
3:45pm
4:05pm

The shuttles will bring guests back to the same locations from Ten Mile at:
10:30pm
11:00pm
11:20pm
The shuttles are free of charge and no gratuities are expected.

Brunch

The brunch will be at the home of Robert and Sharon Swartz (Emmy’s uncle and aunt) in Silverthrone. From Breckenridge, head north on CO-9 for about 10 miles through the town of Frisco. Follow I-70 east to exit 205 and continue on CO-9 north (see map above) through Silverthorne for about 2.5 miles. Take a right on CR-1900/Hamilton Creek Road (T-intersection with a stoplight and large school). Continue on Hamilton Creek Road across a small bridge, and take the first right after the bridge onto Lariat Loop. Follow Lariat Loop to the end, down a long driveway on the left. Call 970-468-1022 if you get lost.

From Breckenridge to Denver Airport/DIA

Take I-70 Eastbound approximately 80 miles. Take exit 284 to merge onto Pena Boulevard and follow signs to the airport.
